ARE YOU GUILTY OF SECRETLY DECIDING HOW MUCH SOMEONE WILL PAY?

Do you secretly decide in advance how much someone can afford to pay for something?   Or if they can afford it at all?

This is a “Boundaries” issue and reflects your desire to help people, but often at a great cost to you and to your clients and customers.   Deep inside you, you have created a complex set of rules prejudging what people will pay for your services and/or goods.  You often decide in advance that your clients and customers won’t value your talents or products at a premium fee, which limits your opportunities to receive increasingly larger amounts of money.

GETTING YOUR FOOT IN THE DOOR TO SELL TO LARGE BUSINESSES

When I am talking with business owners, one of the first things they say to me is that they can’t seem to be able to get their foot in the door to sell their products or services to big businesses and corporations.   They say that big businesses have multiple barriers.

Well, first let me tell you that this is mostly true.   Big businesses do have rules and regulations in place to help them only purchase from those who have the products and services they want to buy.    If you think of it from their perspective, if they entertained everyone who wanted them to buy something from them, they would not get anything else done during the day.

[NEW PROGRAM] Achieve your BIG GOAL 12 Week Intensive

Has your big goal (or one of your big goals) been on your list for a while now?
Have you been thinking about one of your big goals lately and wonder if it is really going to happen?
If this sounds like where you are at right now, then I would like to help you. I have just put together a 12 week BIG GOAL INTENSIVE program that will help you achieve or make significant progress (depending on how big your goal is) toward one of your big goals.
If you are ready to make accomplish one of your BIG GOALS, then this is the program for you.
Now, I have to tell you. This is intensive! You need to be ready to start working on your BIG GOAL in 3-10 days. You must be committed to working on your goal for 12 weeks. And, you must be willing to do the work each week.
Because this is such an intensive program and you are getting to work with me privately by phone once a week, I have to limit the number of participants.
To apply for the BIG GOAL INTENIVE 12 WEEK PROGRAM, copy the form below and email it back to me at debbiec@evergreen-business-strategies.com. Type BIG GOAL in subject line. I will call you to discuss your BIG GOAL and we’ll decide if this intensive 12 week program is for you. Remember, I can only take a limited number of people in this intensive program.
This program is set up to:
Overcome any block(s) you have to achieving your BIG GOAL. (I have all kinds of ways to bypass your blocks).
Have a 30 minute private call with me once a week to discuss your progress and your next steps forward. (I’ll be right beside you all the way with tips and suggestions to move you forward.)
Weekly accountability to keep you on track to reach your BIG GOAL.
An M.B.A. mindset to do only what is necessary to reach your goal and leave out all the rest. (This in itself will save you hours.)
Information, cheerleading, hand-holding, and strategic direction to achieve your goal.
The knowledge to create a path forward with an easy, detailed, systematic approach to follow. (You will know exactly what you need to do each day to move you toward your goal and have you getting there in record time.)
And a kind, gentle, but effective pushes to move you forward.
If you are ready to finally achieve your BIG GOAL, then fill out the form today. We’ll be talking soon.

Creating Balance in Your Life

Over the years, as I have talked with business owners, the one thing that they want to achieve is “balance” in their lives.    I know for myself, I am constantly trying to make sure that I have as such of a balance as I can.

I can feel it when my life seems “off balance” and the “off balance” then affects all the area of my life.    Just recently I felt the “off balance signs” so I decide to do a quick and easy balance assessment.    This balance assessment tool always helps me to see clearly where I’m off balance and then helps me get re-balanced.

Free Teleclass: Toot Your Own Horn

You are invited to a free teleclass that I am hosting on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 8:00 pm Eastern entitled, "How to Toot Your Own Horn without feeling Guilty or Ashamed so you can Come out of Hiding and Claim the Recognition, Sales, and Business you Deserve".    Register now.

This fee teleclass is for you if:

1.    Want to grow your business in a big way, but are afraid to “put yourself out here” . . .  “to make people aware you exist” . . . “to tell people what you have to offer” or “to market yourself”.

Recognizing Avoidance Behaviors

Avoidance behaviors, like excuses, are also symptoms of a lack of belief in your self and, like excuses, seem to be perfectly plausible reasons for not getting started on whatever you want to do, achieve or experience next.

I recently experienced this a few weeks ago.   My goal was to plan and promote a new program, but my mind would only think about re-arranging the den and cleaning out the garage.   Now, the den looks fine just the way it is and has looked for years now.   But, all of the sudden, my mind fixated on re-arranging the den.  Hum….

After much thinking about what was happening, I realized that my mind had created a "task" to avoid beginning this new project.

As I was doing some research about this mental road block, I discovered that there are several typical avoidance behaviors.   See if any of these sound familiar to you.

Eating (I use this one quite often)

Cleaning

Organizing (at my home, they are called organizing frenzies – like re-organizing the den)

Sharpening pencils

Over-planning

Extraneous reading

Talking on the phone

Exercising

Napping (my excuse is that I must be refreshed to begin a creative project)

Trying to "get everything else done" before starting the project

Anything else that you feel compelled to do that is not related to what you need to get done.

Once, I took the time to think about what was happening and do a little quick research on it, it became even more clear to me that everyone (and I mean everyone) experiences fear and doubt.  But, fear and doubt don't have to stop us.

I am sharing this with you today, because fear and doubt mask themselves in all kinds of ways to keep you safe and in your comfort zone so nothing can hurt you.

But to grow and be all that you can be, personally and in your business, you must be able to move past the fear and doubt.   And understand, each time you decide to step out of your comfort zone, fear and doubt will be there again to greet you.   Sometimes it helps me to understand that this is not just something that happens to me, it happens to everyone.

Just understand what is actually going on and you can move forward.

In wealth and abundance,

Debbie

3 Ways to Achieve Your Big Goals

I am often asked how I accomplish so much, and the answer is that
"I plan to".   Most people have at least 1 or 2 large goals that
they want to achieve, but most people continue on for years without
getting any closer to accomplishing those big goals.   Why?   Well,
mostly because their big goals sound "too big" or because they
don't know that they can break their big goals down into steps that
can take everyday.

Today, I am going to share with you three ways to help achieve your
"big goals".

1.  Use the Big 3 To Do List.    I call mine the "Evergreen Big 3".
These are the 3 things that I need to accomplish that day.
Now, my list may have several other things to do on it, but the
Evergreen Big 3 are at the top of my list and they are prioritized
in the order of the most important accomplishment each day.

2. Block out time on your calendar.  Block out time on your
calendar everyday to accomplish your Big 3.    Estimate how long
each of your three tasks will take and actually schedule them on
your calendar.   For example, today you may have to pick your
daughter up from school and take her to the dentist for a 3 pm
appointment.  This is real life.  Don't just decide that you can't
get your Big 3 done today.  If one of your task is going to take
you 2 hours to complete, then find a time during the day to block
off those 2 hours, and your 2nd one will take you 45 minutes, then
block off the 45 minutes, and if the 3rd will take you 15 minutes,
then block off 15 minutes.   Adjust your big 3 to fit into your
life.

3. Don't overload your day.    If you overload your day, you will
be frustrated and disappointed at the end of each day.    Be
realistic, if your big goal is to write a book, don't write "write
a book" on your to do list day after day.   It just won't happen
and you will lose the desire to achieve your goal.    Break your
big goal down.   Make a list and put it in a file folder of each
step you need to take to write your book.  For instance, one step
might be to write the outline of chapters today.  And, maybe
tomorrow, one of your Big 3 will be to write the introduction to
the book.    Make your goals achievable and you will feel good
about yourself and your progress at the end of each day and will be
able to start each new day with renewed strength and determination
that you are getting closer and closer to your goal each day.
And, you will.

If you use these three steps to achieving your big goals you will
feel your energy come back and you will just feel happier and more
satisfied inside.

As a reminder, in honor of Abby, my rescue puppy's adoption date,

Have you ever said these things?

"Beliefs are never neutral.  They either move you forward or hold you back.  And you choose what you will believe" ~ Marcia Wieder.

Did you know that your attitudes and beliefs are at the very core of how you react to everything?   I know, it doesn't sound possible.

Most people believe that they can't change their beliefs because they are part of you.   However, this is in itself a belief.

So why does changing your beliefs matter so much?    Because your attitudes and beliefs create your thoughts and feelings which creates your choices and decisions.

3 KEYS TO GETTING BUSINESS

1. Get Your Potential Customer’s Attention.   You can do this with a bold statement or promise.  Just remember that your bold statement or promise must be TRUE and that you MUST deliver on that bold statement and promise.

2. Identify Your Potential Customer’s Problem.   People are always looking for solutions to problems.   Everyone has some type of problem(s) which they are looking to solve.   When describing the problem(s), be as clear and as detailed as possible so when the potential new customer sees your information they KNOW that you KNOW what their real and pressing problem(s) is/are.
